| Infertility In Men
One of the major causes for infertility in couples is what is known as the male factor. About 40% of couples experience this situation as the major reason for the lack of a pregnancy to occur. Because female testing is involved, time consuming, and can be costly, male testing is usually one of the first steps in evaluating a couple.
Our practice is fortunate in that our male testing program and Andrology laboratory is headed by Edward Wortham, Jr. Ph.D. HCLD. The prestigious HCLD distinction is only held by less than 100 embryologists in the United States and is only earned after rigorous examinations and years of experience as a laboratory supervisor or director. Dr. Wortham has over 24 years of experience in reproductive laboratory medicine.
