In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)
In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a reproductive technology (ART) procedure where eggs and sperm are collected from a couple and placed in a laboratory dish where the eggs are fertilized. After several days of incubation the fertilized eggs are placed in the woman's uterus where implantation of the embryos occurs.
IVF is an excellent alternative for couples that have fallopian tube problems. In addition with IVF you have absolute proof of egg fertilization.
